At her small hometown of Calexico, located next to the U.S. – Mexico border, Daniella took a dive into the journalism world as a local reporter. Seeing the importance of telling the stories of her Latinx community, Daniella delves into the public relations field with the aim to bridge the gap between traditionally marginalized communities and the public relations world.

As a Broom Student Fellow for the Glen M. Broom Center for Professional Development in Public Relations, the competitive program drove Daniella to always work with initiative and push the status quo in the industry. Before joining Mixte, Daniella led deep research insights for a strategic campaign for the fourth Allen H. Center Distinguished Lecture in Public Relations. Inspired by the ambition of Generation Z, she worked on a campaign to inspire PR professionals to use their voice towards DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) and social justice issues among organizations.

As she joins Mixte as a digital public relations account specialist, Daniella hopes to highlight the voices of those who advocate for their prospective communities. Daniella is a believer that whoever has the will, has the power – no challenge is high or low!

When she’s not working, she loves to play with her dog Sasha, get a good workout and grab an iced coffee with a friend.
