Let’s face it, in the mix of variety of clients we are privileged to work with, Mixte works on some pretty heavy issues. Homelessness, pollution, fair housing and environmental degradation to name just a few. So, while it might seem strange, I am here to make the case that all these issues, often seen as challenging and complex enough to require nothing but stoic focus, are a very good reason to throw a party. And that is just what Mixte did.

We threw two, in fact. A few weeks ago, Mixte marked the completion of our Ocean Beach storefront office and the growing Mixte team with one party for clients and another for friends of the company.

Why party? Well, to celebrate.

That week we celebrated wonderful, passionate clients who are doing good things for their community.

We reveled in the fact that we have the privilege of working with people and on issues that instill hope.

We celebrated a vision born in the back a VW Vanagon (and on the seat of a bike) that became the force that empowers good companies to tell their most important stories.

We toasted the clients, family and friends who supported an idea that became a mission and a mission that became a company.

In the end, we came together to celebrate hope, possibility and the idea of taking a chance. We will keep working, to be sure. We will also take time to celebrate. Often.
