Bike for Boobs is an annual bike ride where San Diego community members raise breast cancer funds and awareness by riding through the city streets and celebrating at a post-event party at The Wine Pub in Shelter Island.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed among U.S. women and is the second leading cause of death among women after lung cancer. Bike for Boobs’ mission is to raise funds for breast cancer foundations that ensure our neighbors are getting financial support to continue to pay rent and put food on the table while receiving treatment. To date, the homegrown bike ride has raised over $35,000 for national breast cancer foundations.
Bike for Boobs’ organizer Sandy Hanshaw hired Mixte to generate media, raise sponsorships through small business partnerships and get local influencers to join in the community-building fun.
