Introduction
Mixte began its work with Pacific Arts Movement (Pac Arts) just in time for its 20th anniversary San Diego Asian Film Festival. This celebration of Asian American and Asian international films is the largest showcase of Asian cinema on the West Coast. Mixte worked to boost its reach beyond the Asian American Pacific Islander community and make other San Diegans aware of the effect this culture had on the region.
