For the past 3 years and counting, the UCSD Refugee Health Clinic has focused on helping refugee communities overcome health inequities and improve their agency so individuals feel represented or advocated for as a part of the larger community.

Mixte is creating and leading an extensive communications strategy to help the Refugee Health Clinic achieve its mission and increase philanthropy through awareness to protect, promote, and improve the physical, mental and financial well-being of the refugee population in San Diego County. We take great pride in working alongside the organization’s internal team as they continue to strive to uplift the voice of refugees by collaborating with and bridging the work of multiple local ethnic community-based organizations.

We lead their Whiteboard Strategy Session, a naming and branding workshop, and building their first coalition website to build their capacity and solicit help from funders and partners to support their mission.
