The San Diego Public Library Foundation is a catalyst for creating stronger communities through investment in the city’s public library system — where access to resources supporting literacy, work readiness, and lifelong learning ensures equal opportunities for success.
Our Objectives
Our goals were simple: reminding everyone that libraries are more than a repository of words on pages. They are community centers, local gathering spots for families, computer labs, music venues. And so much more. Just about everyone on the Mixte team had a personal connection to their libraries, from childhood-on.
The Outcome
Mixte is establishing communications tools to streamline information sharing between the Foundation and the overall library system, and bringing creative community outreach ideas to build relationships with new audiences across all branch neighborhoods. We focus on what’s important – cultivating local stories that move people to action and building a library system that serves all San Diegans.
